MI6 camera for auction on Ebay

A second-hand Nikon Coolpix camera bought on Ebay was discovered to have some top secret pictures on it from MI6 (British intelligence).

Hyper-vigilance especially needed during tough times

The financial mess the US finds itself in right now isn't the cause of phishing expeditions, but I do know that the crisis is making some people desperate. Greed is a big motivator for email and Internet scams, but the threat of being destitute will undoubtedly push otherwise upstanding, law abiding citizens to prey upon others. If you regularly send and receive email and/or surf the net, you'd better stay vigilant.

Pandora winning the fight for streaming music

Over the weekend, Pandora - the streaming music service - sent out a message to call your congressman about a bill that would give Internet music a new lease on life. Apparently, it worked, with help from NPR and like-minded lobbyist groups, because the House bill just passed. Voting in the Senate starts Monday, and you can still call your Senator.

PC Magazine's File Utility Pack 2: Three Great Utilities in One
In this edition of the File Utility Pack we've added a completely rewritten version of FileTouch. Sometimes file dates get messed up or they aren't what you want them to be. For example, an image that was copied from a memory stick to your hard drive could have the creation date set to when it was transferred rather than the date the picture was taken. FileTouch lets you change file dates and times and file attributes.

We've also included enhanced versions of MultiRen, our file-renamining utility, and FileGrab, our file-information utility.
