Ultralight iUnika Netbooks Unveiled at Spanish Conference
Just when it looked like netbooks couldn't get any cheaper, Spanish company iUnika announced four new netbooks, starting at 130 Euros (roughly $180). iUnika's systems weigh in at just 700 grams (1.5 pounds), rivaled only by the Sony Lifestyle PC.

Space Shuttle Catches Hubble
The space shuttle Atlantis has caught up with the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope 350 miles above Earth. This will be the fifth and final repair mission for the Hubble, which last saw service seven years ago--four years beyond the usual maintenance interval.

The Green Software Myth
Describing scanning software as green because it reduces reliance on paper and saves time is silly. We reduce reliance on gasoline by replacing cars that use it with something else--riding bicycles, for example, or walking--not by putting the gas somewhere else.

Hands On with imeem Mobile
imeem Mobile for iPhone hit the App Store this evening, and I had a chance to take the app for a spin just as it was launching. imeem specializes in music streaming, and though it's not the first iPhone app to stream music, it certainly has a lot to offer.

Hugo Chavez Shows the World His Penis Phone
Hugo Chavez has a small handheld, and he wants the citizens of his country to get their hands on it--cheap. The outspoken Venezuelan president recently revealed his Vergatario, a supercheap phone (roughly $15) with a camera, FM radio, WAP Internet access, and MP3 playback.
