ContourHD: The HD Camcorder You Can Wear
It's a problem sports and outdoor enthusiasts (and maybe some of the rest of us) know all too well: You desperately want to shoot high-quality video of something, but you don't always have the free hands available to hold your hardware. (Bikes, oars, and skis don't keep themselves moving, you know.) The Seattle-based VholdR has come up with a way to change all that: ContourHD, the first wearable HD camcorder.

Getting Around Apple's App Store Vetting Process
The recent outrage over Apple's questionable vetting process, which censored one app over the word "boobs" and let in another revolving around the murder of crying infants, is likely to make the company take a closer look over which programs make it through the doors of its App Store. In the meantime, however, a company called Alkali Media has seen fit to further test the limits of what skirts the company's guidelines.

GM Kills Off Pontiac - Can Buick Be Far Behind?
GM took Pontiac off life-support Monday. Odds are this is just a waystation to an even smaller General Motors. The General Motors we'll likely see, whether in 2010 or in 2015, may be GM's two extremes: Chevrolet in the mass market, Cadillac at the high end. Everything else is a goner.

Project Plans Offshore Wind Power Project in New York
Offshore wind turbines have been planned for various locations across the globe, but the United States is still waiting for its first one, with a few proposals lining up to be green list in numerous states. This recent Earth Day, the New York Power Authority announced that there's a public-private initiative for an offshore wind power project in Lake Erie and Lake Ontario in the state.
