One of the most hated features of Windows Vista -- User Account Control pop-up
messages -- will be seen a lot less frequently in Windows 7 than it was in
Vista, a Microsoft executive promised last week.

Study: H-1B use cuts tech wages by up to 6%
A study by professors at the Stern and Wharton business schools found that the
use of H-1B workers at U.S. companies decreases IT salaries by up to 6%.

AMD accelerates release of six-core Opteron chip, plans 16 cores by 2011
Advanced Micro Devices said it will release a six-core Opteron server processor
in June and then add chips supporting up to 12 cores next year and 16 in 2011.

The Defense Department, which signed a $40 million purchase order with Silicon

Global Dispatches: Sony Ericsson cuts 2,000 more jobs
Sony Ericsson said it is cutting 2,000 more jobs because of slow sales; India's
