After almost a year of testing, Kaiser Permanente is now offering some of its
members a $5 USB flash drive they can use to store and access critical health
information when they're traveling or during an emergency.

Schooner touts SSD appliance as replacement for eight traditional servers

Start-up Schooner Technology has begun beta trials for its new solid-state disk
appliances, which it said can replace up to eight traditional servers, reduce
space and power costs and boost performance for MySQL and Memcached
environments.

EMC suffers Q1 drops in profits, revenue

EMC reported its first quarter earnings today, which showed a 23% drop in
profits while revenues were down 9.2% year over year.
